Description
An important early 20th-century Italian cast bronze flowerpot, characterized by a monumental oval shape and a rich Renaissance style. The rounded body features deep vertical ribs, which lend volume and movement to the surface, while the upper band is decorated with classical relief motifs for a striking ornamental effect.
The sides feature sculpted lion heads with dangling rings, a noble and dramatic detail, while the base rests on zoomorphic feet modeled with a strong sculptural character. The surface retains a natural patina in shades of oxidized green, brown, and gray, enhancing the quality of the casting and the charm of its time.
