Description

Italian Wooden and Brass Bar Cart with Magazine Rack, Attributed to Cesare Lacca, 1950s

Description:
Elegant tea or serving trolley attributed to the Cesare Lacca school of design, made in Italy in the 1950s. This refined piece embodies the organic curves and lightness typical of Italian Mid-Century Modern design, combining functionality and beauty in a harmonious way.

The structure is in finely shaped curved wood, recently hand polished with shellac according to the traditional French technique, which enhances its natural shine. It has two shelves in transparent ground glass:

  • The upper shelf is set into a wooden frame with soft lines

  • The lower, inclined shelf also functions as a magazine rack or bottle holder, adding visual dynamism and practicality.

The trolley rests on four tapered legs with original brass casters, which ensure mobility without compromising its elegance. The brass details on the handles and wheels add a bright contrast to the warm tone of the wood.

Perfect as a bar trolley, tea table or magazine rack, this iconic piece fits perfectly into vintage or contemporary settings thanks to its sculptural shape and quality of manufacturing.

Dimensions:
Height: 58 cm
Width: 51 cm
Depth: 41 cm

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The wood has been professionally restored with shellac polish, with minor signs of aging consistent with age and careful use.

A rare and versatile collector’s item that embodies the elegance of Italian modernism.
