Description

A stunning example of a mid-century Italian office chair, this “Genziana” chair was designed by Carlo Ratti in 1958 for Industria Legni Curvati in Lissone. Its elegant curved plywood shell offers ergonomic comfort, while the central metal column with chromed steel base and casters provides 360° swivel movement. The central leg is finished in high-gloss black enamel, contrasting elegantly with the natural grain of the curved plywood. Recently restored with a traditional shellac pad finish, this chair retains subtle signs of age that testify to its authentic history. Originally exhibited at the Museo della Sedia dei Legni Curvati, it is in good overall condition and ready to adapt to any workspace, vintage or contemporary.
