Liberty style centrepiece in antimony glass with cherubs, Italy 1900
This elegant Art Nouveau stand dates back to the 1920s and comes from Italy. The solid base is made of cast antimony with a refined patina burnished by time and decorated in relief with floral garlands that emphasize the naturalistic taste typical of the movement. Three finely modeled cherubs, in midwife position, support the shaft, creating a scenographic motif of great impact.
The upper bowl, large and slightly oval, is made of transparent glass and rests on a chiseled edge with small stylised roses, echoing the floral decoration of the base. The contrast between the dark metal and the bright glass gives this cake stand an authentic vintage charm, making it perfect for displaying fruit, sweets or a bouquet of fresh flowers.
