Description

Pair of Space Age Table Lamps by Philippe Rogier for Oxar, France, 1970s

This rare pair of table lamps was designed by Philippe Rogier for Oxar in France during the 1970s, and represents one of the most fascinating examples of European Space Age design.

Each lamp features a clean, minimalist metal cubic structure, with a reflective metal spiral at its center held by a mirrored bulb. This single sculptural element, despite its simplicity, manages to create a surprising optical effect, projecting dynamic patterns of light and shadow onto the surrounding surface.

The combination of rigorous geometry and luminous creativity makes these lamps true functional works of art. Ideal as bedside lamps, desk lamps or atmosphere lamps, perfect for modern, brutalist or retro-futuristic interiors.

The lamps are in excellent vintage condition, with a pleasant patina of age, and are supplied with the original mirror bulbs to maintain the original visual effect.

Dimensions (for each lamp):
17 x 17 x 17 cm

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. Light patina. Ready to use.
